Fireworks launched for the sky, and awe hushed the crowds all over the globe as people said “good-bye” to 2011 and “hello” to 2012. As a tradition, many students set up New Year’s Resolutions to give themselves a reason to start and hopefully reach a goal. Let’s see what AHS students decided to accomplish during 2012.
“This year, I hope to make a vast different in another person’s life by helping a non-profit organization for children who do not have the basic access to food, shelter, and happiness.”
—Melissa Morales, 9
“My goal for this year is to grow taller by sleeping earlier, drinking milk, and stretching every day. I hope to grow two inches by the end of this year so that I do not have to be one of the shortest students.”
—Audrey Lew, 10
“My New Year’s Resolution is to be able to host a memorable Sadie’s and Prom for all AHS students.”
—Andrew Sun, 11
“My New Year’s Resolution is to learn how to swim in order to pass the Swim Test. Since this is my last year at AHS, I need to be able to swim the length of the swimming pool in order to graduate.”
—Timmy Chen, 12
