| Fireworks launched for the sky, and awe hushed the crowds all over the globe as people said “good-bye” to 2011 and “hello” to 2012. As a tradition, many students set up New Year’s Resolutions to give themselves a reason to start and hopefully reach a goal. Let’s see what AHS students decided to accomplish during 2012.
“This year, I hope to make a vast different in another person’s life by helping a non-profit organization for children who do not have the basic access to food, shelter, and happiness.” -Melissa Morales, 9 “My goal for this year is to grow taller by sleeping earlier, drinking milk, and stretching every day. I hope to grow 2 inches by the end of this year so that I do not have to be one of the shortest students.” -Audrey Lew, 10 “My New Year’s Resolution is to be able to host a memorable Sadie’s and Prom for all AHS students.” -Andrew Sun, 11 “My New Year’s Resolution is to learn how to swim in order to pass the Swim Test. Since this is my last year at AHS, I need to be able to swim the length of the swimming pool in order to graduate.” -Timmy Chen, 12
